It’s the perfect time to create a communications plan!

A workshop for co-op start-ups

This two-hour workshop covers the basics of creating an initial communications plan for your co-op. Together, we identify action items and equip you with the resources to put a plan into action.

Workshop Overview:

– Goal Identification: Your group will identify and articulate your co-op’s core goals. Understanding what you wish to achieve is the first step toward effective communication.

– Strategy Crafting: With your goals in focus, we will explore communication strategies and tools suited for your co-op. From traditional media to digital platforms, you’ll select the methods that best align with your objectives and audience.

– Message Development: Your group will create compelling and authentic messages that reflect the mission of your co-op. We’ll cover techniques that ensure your message cuts through the noise.

– Action Planning: Transform insights into action with a step-by-step communications plan. This roadmap will outline what you need to communicate, which channels you will use, and assign responsibilities within your team.

Heart Linked Community Services Cooperative

“Working with Co-operatives First was fantastic! We are still new to the cooperative world, and we relied heavily on their advice and expertise when drafting our rules/bylaws, and our memorandum of association. The team has experience with many different cooperative models, so they provided advice on what has and hasn’t worked for other cooperatives. We wouldn’t have been able to incorporate without their help!”

Ananda Cooperative

“We have had a very positive experience with everyone at Co-operatives First. They have helped us in multiple ways. Right from the first step in knowing how to incorporate, how to set our business and offering ideas for us to help steer us in the right direction plus allowing us to really make our own decisions. If our decisions go off track, they have gently guided us back to where we needed to be. The Co-operatives first guys are always eager to answer questions, and give ideas to us that got us off the ground.”
