Building Stronger Communities through Housing Co-operatives

Join us for an engaging discussion on how the co-operative model offers sustainable, community-led solutions to navigate today’s housing challenges. Michael Norris, Manager of Co-operative Housing Development for the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada), will join Candice to talk about how municipalities and local groups can initiate or support co-operative housing projects, access funding, and unlock community assets to create affordable, resilient neighbourhoods.

Michael leads CHF Canada’s work to expand sustainable, affordable co-operative housing nationwide. With a strong focus on community building and strategic development, he advances initiatives that position co-operatives as key to Canada’s affordable housing strategy. He works closely with partners such as CMHC and Finance Canada and is a frequent speaker at national forums on the future of co-operative housing.
